  • Program Overview

    Associate of Arts in Child Development: Degree designed to provide foundational coursework in early child development, education, and sociocultural contexts. Program equips students to provide age-appropriate, Christ-centered care and nurturing to young children (birth through age 8). Upon completion, students are eligible to apply for an Early Education Teacher Certificate from the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

    Bachelor of Science in Child  Development: Program designed to equip students to work with young children (birth through age 8) in a variety of settings, preparing activities and environments that foster physical, social, emotional, spiritual, and cognitive development. Upon completion, students are eligible to apply for an Early Education Teacher Certificate (birth through pre-kindergarten) from the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

  • Program Length

    Program length differs depending on how many credits students choose to take in a semester. On average, students complete the 120 credits required for the bachelor's program degree in four years and 60 credits required for an associate degree in two years. 

  • Financial Aid & Scholarships

    Financial aid available if you qualify and for scholarship information, please note the following: 

    • Community and Technical College Graduate Scholarship – Online students who transfer to Point from a community or technical college are eligible to receive a $250 scholarship specifically for transfer students. No application is required.
    • Point Community Scholarship – First-term online students have the opportunity to receive a scholarship valued at up to $15,000 over the life of any Point University fully online degree program. Terms and conditions apply.
